::Evil Angel::
Season
It is currently summer. Prey is plump and plentiful, and the weather is usually welcoming. The lands even seem to be doing okay with their water sources.

Weather
In favor of summer, the skies are cloudless, and the lands are warm and sunny. There hasn't been too much rain, but a drought isn't likely at the moment.

Bans
-none-

Welcome to Evil Angel, a higher intermediate to advanced fantasy wolf-based RPG.

As of current, EA has a great need for Alphas for all three packs. We've gained a lot of new members, but RPing anything at this point would be difficult without Alphas. Anyone interested should PM Snow or FBK.

 ::When it Began::

Centuries ago, when wolf kind was young, and humans were nothing more then a barely formed dream, there were the Pantheons. They were the elite of all wolves, looked up to as gods by all lower wolves. Their lives spanned centuries longer then common wolves, and many of them bore horns, wings, and pelts of beautiful colors and markings.

They were worshiped, and rightly so. As the most powerful wolves of the land, anything less was unheard of. The Pantheons lived at the top of a high mountain, which was unlike all other surrounding mountains. There was no biting wind or driving snow, only a peaceful valley with soft heather and rabbits for the pantheons to chase. At the foot of the mountain, there were shrines. Many different shrines, for there were many Pantheons to worship.

Perhaps the most widely worshiped were the twin pantheons; Sirius and Winter. The shrines built in their honor by the wolves that bowed low at the foot of the mountains numbered vastly, and were perhaps the most ornate except for those of the high Pantheon and the twins father, Titan.

The Pantheons rarely ever came down from the mountain, but their influence on the surrounding lands was enough that the packs that gathered at the foot of the mountain were well-fed and prosperous.

There was to be trouble in paradise, though. Titan was an ancient wolf, who worried that his time was soon to be over. As his oldest child, he chose Sirius as his heir. Winter, however, was greatly displeased. She thought it the height of unfair, and openly protested against her brothers appointment. She had many supporters in the ranks of the Pantheons who stood by her side and protested that she would lead the Pantheons better then Sirius could have.

Sirius, of course, had his own followers. They argued that the position was rightly his, and, although no one said it out loud, there was something about Winter that made many of the other Pantheons uncomfortable with the thought of her leading. In a rage, Winter left her brother's ceremony, her supporters at her back and throwing nasty glances at the newly appointed heir. Everyone thought that was the end of Winter's tantrum.

They were horribly wrong.

She convinced many of the Pantheons to support her, and go along with her plans. She promised them power, and anything else if they stood beside her, and they agreed.

That night, while all the Pantheons slept, Winter and her followers crept into the temple, where the high Pantheon slept, and killed Titan while he slept.

The sound of snarling wolves woke the Pantheons who slept closest to the temple, and soon the alarm was sounding all across the mountain top. Winter and her followers emerged from the temple and quickly slaughtered many of the Pantheons before Sirius and the others appeared.

The twins and their supporters fought all through the night. When dawn came, the mountain top was stained with the blood of Pantheons, and the bodies of the fallen lay broken everywhere. The sun rose high into the sky, lit with an eery red glow that alerted the wolves at the foot of the mountain that something was terribly wrong.

The Pantheons fought until the sun reached the center of the sky, such was their endurance. Heavy losses were suffered on both sides before Winter was finally pinned down by her older brother. Sirius had a chance to end things there, but as he looked down into his sister's face, snarls still on both of their muzzles, he couldn't bring himself to kill her.

He demanded that she leave, and take her corrupted followers with her. Beaten, she agree and descended the mountain. She held her tail high, though, and when she came to the bottom, fur stained with Pantheon blood, she spoke to the wolves gathered at the base of the mountain.

She told them that any wolf who desired power should follow her, and that the other Pantheons would soon be too soft to defend the wolves that worshiped them. As Winter and her Pantheons left the lands that they had ruled over for so long, with several lesser wolves following them, the magic that had held the land together faded.

The old lands were still abundant, though. The Pantheon blood spilled on the Mountain was washed away, and the bodies burned, but the prosperity of the valley at the foot of the mountain was lost. The wolves who stayed and worshiped the new high Pantheon, Sirius, tore down the shrines dedicated to Winter. All the other shrines were neglected, since the Pantheons they were dedicated to were dead.

Winter and her followers found a new mountain to call home, and the wolves that worshiped them made their homes around that mountain.

So began the battle of the Alignments. Winter's followers soon began desiring the power they were promised, being so exposed to Winters greed. And so Winter told them that any of her followers that killed a Heavenly Pantheon would gain it's power. The only problem was that Sirius' follower lived at the base of the only path up the mountain.

The Demonic wolves launched assaults on the Heavenly ones. The Demonic in a battle for power, the Heavenly sworn to stop them from shedding any more Pantheon blood. The battle rages at the feet of the two mountains, as the powers at the top get stronger. Whispers among the packs say that Winter has spent the centuries since her banishment getting stronger and preparing for a rematch with her brother.

All the wolves quake at the idea of the mighty Pantheons fighting. Some in anticipation, for it will mean that they will finally receive the powers they were promised. Others in dread, because it will mean more blood is spilled, and their protectors will die.

Both Pantheons draw their power from their supporters, although they dare not tell anyone so. At the moment, that scale is balanced. It's up to you to tip that scale. Wether you stand on the side that desires power above all, or those that would stop the corrupted from getting that power, you can help tip the balance in favor of one or the other.
